Go here if you are looking for an authentic Japanese experience. The food and fish was great, but not a huge selection as one would expect in a more Americanized Sushi restaurant. Small and quiet atmosphere. Pricing reasonable.

Oh this place is heavenly! This is not southernized sushi by a long shot. The rolls are small but beyond delicious. Anyone with any liking of Japanese cuisine should immediately go here. They don't have a large menu but there's no need with the quality of the food. Their gyudon is too die for.

Tiny humble but clean and excellent service always one person in their the co-owner doing all of the serving and cleaning and the other owner and I think it's her partner doing all the cooking first place I ever had sushi in 1997 still one of the best places to have it and unfortunately they're retiring in the next couple of weeks so you better get in there to enjoy it before they do because it'll be gone forever and then we'll be one step closer to having no good places to eat in this world

Really great food. This is definitely a “hole in the wall” kind of place. It’s so cute and quaint. The food is amazing. It’s the “Japanese Grandma” cooking dinner experience. It’s not going to be your Americanized Japanese food. The rolls are not flooded with rice and the kind I like to eat “as is” versus drenched in sauce. The ramen is my fave by far. Highly recommend.

I can’t believe I have never heard of this amazing place until today! The service is amazing and the food is perfect. The woman running the place is very friendly and I will be returning. I recommend the miso ramen. It was made perfectly.

An unassuming little hole in the wall in a busy shopping center, Banzai has been serving up the most authentic and best quality sushi in Mobile since before sushi was cool. My family has been coming here for over twenty-five years and it is still as good as when they first opened. Always fresh and delicious!

Best sushi in the Mobile area! There's a reason Banzai has been around for a long time. The place is small so there may be a wait on busy nights, but it's worth it. A bit spendy compared to other sushi bars in town however the quality and flavor of the food makes it worth every penny. You'll fight your dinner companions for the last roll!
